When do you we start? We will hold our kick off meeting on Monday, September 13th @ 7:00-7:45 pm. Even though we haven't gone over the rules yet, you can begin your training earlier that day. Simply book your spot through the Wodify website or app (the same one you used to purchase your entry into the challenge). Points, however, for the challenge will not start counting till Tuesday, September 14th.
How much can I expect to lose during these 4 weeks? That is all very individual. We have had people lose as much as 15 lbs and as little as 3. It all depends on where you are starting out and how much effort you put into your training and nutrition during the 4-week challenge. It also depends on where you are starting. If you have a small frame or are looking to get stronger, you might not lose as much as someone in a different scenario. Our biggest focus is on helping you get fit and healthy, whatever that may mean to you. Keep in mind that the winners are drawn from a hat. All you have to be is 80% compliant by reaching a certain number on our point system and your name will be up for the drawing. Anybody can literally win.

What are you doing about Covid? We have a Covid Protocol in place that emphasizes simple hygeine to help minimize risk exposure.
- If you have cold/flu-like symptoms, please do not come to the gym to train (train at home with our EXL Live virtual training program.
- Wear gym-only shoes to the gym.
- Wash hands upon arriving at the gym.
- Try to maintain social distance while training.
- Masks are optional.
- Cough or sneeze in the crook of your arm.
- Wipe down equipment throughout the workout and once workout is over.
What if I don’t have a lot of weight to lose? This is not a weight loss challenge, this is an accountability challenge. Points are awarded for compliance to nutrition and exercise goals as well as other lifestyle tasks. There are multiple ways to earn points with a total of 344 for the 4-week challenge. The names of all contestants with 275 or more points (80% compliance) will be thrown into a hat and winners drawn from there. So, the person who wins might not be the one who loses the most weight but rather a person that has been accountable and been compliant to the behaviors necessary to achieve their fitness goals. At EXL we are very adamant about focusing on behaviors over outcomes. We don’t have control of all the factors effecting an outcome, but we do have control of our actions and behaviors. We strongly believe that focusing on the things within our control not only helps minimize unneeded stress in the long run it help us become healthier and more fit.
Why 800g and what does that even look like? There is a significant reduction in lifestyle diseases like heart disease and diabetes for those that consistently eat 800g a day. Focusing on 800g makes a diet simple. You will also notice that you are full, because 800g has a lot of volume, and you will not eat a lot of junk food. I've also noticed that clients do a lot better when they are focused on what they can eat versus what they can't (like a no sugar challenge). Generally speaking 800 grams is roughly 6 cups of veggies.
How are the winners determined? And, how do I earn points? There are a total of 310 points available. All the names of challengers that get 248 or more points will be placed in a hat and the winners will be drawn from there. A majority of points will be a awarded for consuming 800g a day of fruits and veggies. But, points will also be awarded for exercise other lifestyle tasks (10+ min extra activity, meditate 2+ min, sleep 7+ hours and more). All points will be tracked in the Wodify Rise app and must be reported within 48 hours.
What is the difference between Boot Camp, Small Group Training and EXL Live? Boot camp is a larger setting, up to 16 clients in a session. It’s for healthy adults wanting to raise metabolism, lose fat and get fit. Everyone in camp does the same workout. We offer different levels of each exercise so all fitness levels are challenged.
Small Group Training is performed in a small group of no more than 6 clients. The smaller setting allows for more personalization as well as a larger exercise selection. It is ideal for those with specifics goals not addressed by boot camp. It is also ideal for those that aren’t fit enough for camp or unable to do camp do to an injury. Because of the smaller more personal setting it is favored by those wanting more coaching and attention than found in boot camp.
What is the Wodify Rise app? The Wodify Rise app is mandatory, and is how we will be tracking points for the challenge. It is available for both Android and iOS
