Dear Friend, I need you to do something for me. Well, actually, I need you to do something for you. Locate your nearest calendar. Circle the last Monday in May. This year, it’s May 30th. Do you know what makes that day special? It’s Memorial Day, a special holiday to honor the men and women who died while serving our country. It’s a day of remembrance, a day to pay homage to the people who fought and died to defend the freedom that we hold so dear.

Americans celebrate Memorial Day in a diverse number of ways. There are those who visit memorials, and there are plenty of volunteers who place American flags on graves in national cemeteries. Many families and friends often celebrate with picnics and barbecues, while others simply take the day to relax.

Also, as I’m sure we are all aware, countless men and women of all ages flock to the nearest lake for boating or mountains for hiking and riding or other forms of recreating. Memorial Day is, after all, the unofficial beginning of the summer!

Now, please allow me to bring this back to you and why you marked this date on your calendar.
Every year in the spring, people come to us unhappy with their bodies and current fitness level.

They gained weight over the holidays or through the pandemic, and then in January when the New Year rolled in, they made a resolution to get in great shape.

How does the "accountability challenge" work?

The Memorial Day Meltdown Accountability Challenge is NOT a fitness challenge rewarding the fittest person doing the most workouts.  Nor is it a weight loss challenge benefitting those that can starve the most.

It is an accountability challenge where all you have to do is report your compliance to the 3 weekly goals (nutrition, exercise, mindset), as well as other healthy lifestyle tasks done daily.  You will earn points according to your level of compliance. All of this will be reported on our custom app, Wodify Rise.

Everyday you will be asked if you completed the daily tasks for the day (eg. sleep 7.5+ hrs, review your goals).  And, at the end of the week you will be asked to grade yourself on your compliance to the 3 weekly goals.

Through the app you can download nutrition resources including meal plans and recipes.

There is a food journal component where you will be asked to take pics of your food on certain days for points and others will be able to see your food entries and give you encouragement and support.

Through the app you will also see a leaderboard of the top 10 points leaders.  This will be encouraging for those that are competitive.

But, you don't have to be on the leaderboard to win.

All challengers accruing 75% or more of the total points will be put into a drawing for the cash prizes.

And, here is the kicker...you set your own weekly goals (nutrition, exercise, mindset).  And we encourage you to set easily attainable goals.  We want you to be at least 90% confident that you can attain the goals.  And, everyone will be different.

For example, you may not have worked out consistently for a few years and don't feel comfortable doing 3 EXL workouts a week.  But, you know you can do two EXL workouts and fit in a 20 min walk at lunch once a week.

Others, who may feel more confident diving into 3 EXL workouts and two thirty minutes pickleball sessions a week.

The same idea with the nutrition and mindset goals.

You set your own goals, that you feel confident in setting.  If you need help setting goals, we're here to help.

That way you will have a better chance of accomplishing your goals and being successful at the end of each week.  You can keep the same goals from week to week.  Or, you can change it up.
